[Stoves] Understanding students and their orientation

Much of the problem we face is (in briquette technology development and extension) is that  that the problem itself defies parsing into western constructs of specific disciplines. The chemist finds themself being forces to work with community developers. The business student has to deal with apparently simplified assessment of one enterprise but then has to develop a whole new model of its rather Ghandian diffusion…The technolgy/ engineering student suffers the gooey sticky problem of workign with local materials and skills…

Really, the closest discipline I have found for this kind of work is the switched on industrial designer, once they get away from the notion of western "Product" design per se...

Development is not just technology.. and the newbies have a hard time not specialising as it does not properly feed them into industry…

And in so doing in this ever shrink wrapped "safe" world, we have created / or let be created/, one can only wonder what they might be missing in life.
