Hello, Crispin!
That has prepared materials for mailing.
The attached files.
I am an inventor. And at the same time, a mechanical engineer.
As many of my developments are patents for inventions.
Some applications still considered by Rospatent.
If someone wants to make my development life-size, help advice.
And furnaces and boilers have a very good. The level of CO in the exhaust pipe is very low. Checked the gas analyzer
Regards, Yuri Blagodarov

  Dear Yuri

Thank you for the link to the website and videos. The buildings are exactly like the ones in Mongolia! So familiar!

I see in the first video something that was a problem in the German stoves experimented with in early 2010 in Ulaanbaatar.

Where the flame enters the narrow channel and rises up, there is a space much longer than it is wide. If you watch the fire and smoke carefully you will see there is smoke rising up at the ends of the channel, while the flame prefers to rise up in the centre.

By measuring the final gases of this type of burning, we found that there is quite a lot of CO and PM2.5 that avoids the flame altogether, passing to the chimney with no chance to burn.

Originally the GTZ stoves had a 40mm wide gap about 250mm long. An attempt was made to inject secondary air along who whole of one side. It was a good idea and can work if the fire is very large, enough to cover the whole 40 x 250 space, but unfortunately that is very little of the time. The CO/CO2 ratio was about 6% as a result.

By keeping everything else the same (initially, at least) I made the space 100 x 80mm. This brought about a very large drop in the final CO level. The reason is that the smoke and CO are brought into a space where the flames can ignite them. There was a 99% drop in CO and PM2.5.

Looking at the drawings, it seems that the change to a square, or nearly square combustion chamber (which uses less material as well) would improve your burn.

I have copied Professor Lodoysamba (see above) in this email so that you can connect with him directly. He speaks Russian fluently and was involved if a lot of the testing of different versions of the GTZ 7-series stove.

He is a nuclear physicist and knows a great deal about particulate collection and analysis.

  Best regards

Crispin (still looking at the great materials on your website).
