Stovers,

If you are not on the mailing list(s) of the Global Alliance (GACC),
you probably did not see this message.

If this Forum and other GACC topics are important to you, you need
to either "Register" (in general) to receive notifications   OR
"Become a Partner" (which is a higher level of particpation).
Note that "Register" does not make you or your organization a
Partner.    Many people can register even if there is only one
"Partner" that is the organization where they work, etc.

Go to    www.cleancookstoves.org    to Register or Become a Partner, or both.

I have attended 3 of the previous Fora (that were then organized by
PCIA) and I totally recommend that serious Stovers around the world
should make every effort to attend.

Paul

Dear colleagues,
As you know, the Alliance is hosting the Clean Cooking Forum 2013: Igniting Change, Fueling Markets & Sparking Adoption, from March 18-22 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The goal of the Forum is to further a market-based approach to the global adoption of clean cooking solutions; to continue to drive innovations in research, market development, standards and testing, entrepreneurial finance, and policy development; and allow the diverse and growing sector the opportunity to network and connect in person.
We are currently working to develop a complete website with all the information you will need to join us at the Forum and you should receive an email with all the event details the week of November 26th.
We especially want to draw your attention to our abstract submission process, which is one means we will use to identify speakers to present at the Forum. The Alliance will select abstracts that highlight new and effective approaches, resources, and tools; best practices; and quantifiable results. Abstracts must be submitted by December 17th through the online form, which will be available on the forthcoming Forum website. There is a limit of two abstract submissions per organization.
We encourage you to begin brainstorming ideas using the guidelines below, and to formally become an Alliance partner if you have not done so already, as organizations must be partners in order to have their abstracts selected.
The Alliance is especially interested in abstracts in the key topical areas listed here.
Please keep in mind the following questions when conceptualizing your abstract idea (please note this is not the abstract submission form and that except in special circumstances partners must use the online form to submit their abstracts, which will be available on the forthcoming Forum website the week of November 26th):
	* What is the topic and purpose of your abstract (background information, methods, evaluation, key results, challenges, target audience)?
	* Why is this topic important to the advancement of clean cooking (innovative approaches, increase in accessibly/acceptability/affordability of clean cooking solutions, replicability/scalability)?
	* What are the key messages you want to share with the Forum’s international audience (lessons learned, application to audience members)?
Please direct any abstract-related questions to abstracts at cleancookstoves.org.
We look forward to sharing the Forum website with you shortly and to seeing all of you in Phnom Penh!
Sincerely,
The Forum Coordination Group

About the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves

The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves is a public-private partnership led by the United Nations Foundation to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and preserve the environment by creating a thriving global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions. The Alliance’s ‘100 by 20’ goal calls for 100 million homes to adopt clean and efficient cookstoves and fuels by 2020. The Alliance is working with its hundreds of public, private, and non-profit partners to help overcome the market barriers that currently impede the production, deployment, and use of clean cookstoves and fuels in developing countries.
