Hi Clean Stovers!

Some of you may remember Paul and Dean at ETHOS talking about a Clean
Stove Colloquium as the focus for this year's summer stove camp. The dates
are July 22-July 26 at the Aprovecho Research Center here in Cottage Grove,
Oregon co-hosted by InStove.

The activities, as discussed at ETHOS, are 1.) to have the two emission
hoods available (and the emissions equipment in the Test Kitchen) to
everyone involved with stoves that could make the new cleaner IWA goals.
That is a 2 for thermal efficiency and a 3 for measures of CO and PM.

I hope that this gives folks a chance to 2.) see how their stove compares
to other stoves and it's a good opportunity to see what stoves are improved
to this extent. There is a $500 award for best stove (as determined by vote
of the participants) and summer weather, parties, and beautiful people.

Another goal 3.) is for the participants to use the data to see what
technical approaches seem to be most promising given that the field tests
are the real determinant of success.

Contact Mike Hatfield for details and reservations. apromike at gmail.com

Cost for the week is $300 but there's no shrimp in the buffet. Mostly
testing, talking, learning, solving problems, singing.

All Best,

Dean
