While I don't know everything, I have a lot of strange tidbits.

Headers (for IC engines in cars) generally get to high temperatures (in 
excess of 600° C IIRC) and there are very high temperature paints good 
for 1,300-2,000° F (roughly 700-1,100° C) or more.  See 
http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/flameproof/ for one example.  There are 
also stove paints which survive cast iron stoves at red heat.

Perhaps one of these manufacturers can help.
