[Stoves] TLUD Syngas Flame and the Red-Hot Chimney in a Kerosene Heater.

Hi, Julien

I am not certain what materials Toyotomi use - they tend to be up market.
The lower end uses 0.3 to 0,5mm steel.

Kind regards

Philip

Heater.

Dear Prof. Lloyd;

Thanks for your description on how a kerosene heater works. I knew someone
would pitch-in with an explanation.

I had in mind some the principle you describe: a hot metal column,
preheating secondary air to assist the combustion in natural draft TLUD. I
don't imagine that the column would be as large and elaborate at a kerosene
heater, because of cost, and because we want a stove, not a space heater.

Do you know what the chimneys are made of? Are they just stainless steel or
some special alloy?

In the end, I think that what Jock is doing with gas wicks and washers will
be a better solution than perforated metal rings.

It would be nice to get rid of those black-bottomed pots ND-TLUDs seem to
create.

Cheers,

Julien.
