Paul, In Costa Rica we attempted a 55 gal. drum-scale TLUD to char the fibrous waste from oil palm processing, which is similar to coir in texture and density. Result was a quick flash, then mostly ash. The material needs to be densified mechanically before it would be useful as TLUD feedstock. Rob
