Business Development Manager 

Prime Cookstoves ( <http://www.primestoves.com> www.primestoves.com) is a
company established by Differ and Dr. M. Nurhuda in 2013. Our main mission
is to make clean and efficient cookstoves attractive and affordable for the
poor. By creating affordable cooking solutions for the people at the "bottom
of the pyramid" (BOP) we seek to reduce the health risks associated with the
use of traditional cooking methods, reduce the need for fuelwood and, hence,
lower greenhouse gas emissions, and reduce end-users' economic burden of
increasing prices and reduced availability of fuels for cooking purposes.
Prime aims to do this by creating a thriving business where innovative
products that create effective, affordable and desirable solutions for the
BOP customers are sold commercially.

 

Prime Cookstoves' headquarter is in Oslo, Norway, whilst our manufacturing,
logistics and R&D departments are based in Malang, Indonesia. In order to
strengthen our team and scale up sales, Prime Cookstoves is now looking to
hire a flexible, driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager,
based in Indonesia. 

 

Overall objectives of Business Development Manager

.                     Wholesales of Prime cookstoves to clients globally

.                     Business development and market expansion activities
for South East Asia

.                     Customer support and after-sales services for existing
and new customers globally

.                     Development of marketing strategy and participation in
promotional activities

.                     Streamline existing supply-chain to improve overall
services

 

Job description

.         Identify and contact potential clients in the global market to
facilitate sales

.         Manage inquiries, prepare quotes and wholesale to customers
globally

.         Streamline the existing supply chain in close collaboration with
Prime's Logistics Manager

.         Identify and build relationships with potential partners in
Prime's main markets

.         Identify and develop market expansion opportunities, including
investment opportunities, collaborations, government projects etc. in
Prime's main markets

.         Provide business development and operational support for Prime's
partners globally

.         Provide customer support and after-sales services, including
training on the usage and maintenance of Prime cookstoves, for existing and
new customers

.         Provide monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports and forecasts
to Prime's BOD

.         Improve and update the contents of Prime's website, develop
marketing materials and manage the social media platform

.         Represent Prime at high-level meetings, forums and conferences to
promote Prime cookstoves and develop business opportunities

.         Assist Prime's BOD to write grant proposals for business
development

.         Conduct ongoing research and development on the usage of various
biomass fuels to improve Prime's overall services

.         Collect customer feedback and user data to continuously improve
Prime cookstoves and Prime's services

 

Qualifications

.         Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a management
position in an international company/organization

.         Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and business development
for products for the "bottom of the pyramid" consumers

.         Experience with biomass cookstoves

.         Experience in delivering technical training to customers

.         Extensive networks in Prime Cookstoves' main market segment

.         Experience in financial management

.         Relevant master degree in marketing, sales, business, management
is preferable

.         Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and
Bahasa Indonesia

.         Willingness to travel for work, including longer overseas trips

.         A high degree of flexibility is required

.         Ability to work independently but also as part of a team

.         Entrepreneurial and highly motivated

 

Start date: October 2014

Place of work: TBD, frequent travel to Malang, Surabaya and other parts of
Indonesia and abroad
