Dear James et al.

You may find this of interest - it is a short film that has many excellent
scenes and modern footage from Shauri moyo/Kamakunji in Nairobi - an East
African tinsmithing jua-kali paradise of sorts. Others of you may also
enjoy it as well -

Crispin - this is an interesting point for me, do those Senegalese
mini-stoves have a ceramic liner? Also do you know roughly how many other
Kenya Ceramic Jiko varieties have been made and still being marketed in
Africa over the last 20 years - in fact does anyone know of a KCJ
list/catalog? How would one go about collecting this information do you
think?

Also about those being the smallest stoves, how about this shrimp of a
stove ~ below is a mini-Kenya Ceramic Jiko headlining for a posh Nairobi
restaurant.

Cheers

Teddy Kinyanjui
