Hello Stovers,

The Domestic Use of Energy conference is coming up in April, and they have a newly revamped web site with information:
http://active.cput.ac.za/energy/public/index.asp?pageid=707

This is the abridged description:
"Over the past 21 years the "Domestic Use of Energy Conference” (DUE) has presented a forum for professionals, practitioners and end-users in all fields of domestic energy to discuss the latest developments in the effective use of energy in the residential sector. The importance of energy conservation is now widely recognised, especially as South Africa is facing rapidly increasing energy costs."

This year they are planning a special session on:
Development of Scientifically Robust and Culturally Appropriate Metrics and Protocols for Evaluating Clean (Combustion) Cookstoves
during the next DUE conference – with international participation.

Some of our list members, may find this a fairly convenient conference to attend, if someone from the list does go, it would be nice to have an email letter from you with some highlights.

Kind regards,
Erin Rasmussen
