Dear Richard end all,

 

PE = ( C2H4)n  pointed  strips from  botles or drums  2-3x20x1000 mm are
ideal starters for solid biomass .

Start this by a refill  gas igniter , started by piezo spark .

 

More automatic :  1 mm thick NiCr wire or wolfram  100 mm long  ,red  heated
by  a few volts and 20 amps from a 500 watts transformer .

Start and stop by timer and photocell .
