Dear Friends

A report by Prof K Smith et al from Berkeley on air quality in Ulaanbaatar
is available at

http://ehs.sph.berkeley.edu/krsmith/publications/2014/UB%20Final%20Report%20
-%20June%209.pdf

Relevant information from a different source has just been made available by
Prof Lodoysamba at the National University of Mongolia. I put a copy here:

http://www.newdawnengineering.com/website/library/Papers+Articles/Mongolia/A
ir%20Quality%20in%20UB%20Lodoysamba_2014.pdf

The importance of the latest air quality measurements is that the PM2.5
level in Ulaanbaatar has been going down at a rate of 20% per year (for the
past two winters) as the improved coal stoves are being rolled out
neighbourhood by neighbourhood. This is an amazing success.
