Frank,

I don't have time to find the links today but the European standards for
densified (and other biomass) fuels are far more developed than the US
Pellet Fuels Institute standards.

Stovers,

Great topic as this uses biomass that does not de-forest and gives us a
chance to formulate blended biomass to best suit specific stoves. Both of
interest to me.

These are the tests used in the pellet industry. I think we need to add more
because we are formulating pellets that may not be up (and doesn't need to
be) to the PFI standards.
Tests I would add are:
1) Particle density (in addition to bulk density)
2) E450c energy split using the pipe to determine (to predict burn
characteristics)

Most of these tests are very easy (back yard) tests once the total energy is
determined via calorimeter. Char energy estimated.

Thanks

Frank
