To maximise the solute concentration using the three tub method it
would be better to Use the water from the cleanest stage to wash the
middle stage and then used this to wash the first stage. Best would be
to use a trickle spay system and pass the dung along a sloping trough,
This is because of the solubility product constant of the minerals in
the dung, in a similar way that a shower is more efficient at cleaning
than a bath.
