For those who may be interested in following the removal of the
subsidy for LPG in Ecuador and its replacement with subsidized (maybe,
at least partially, if they have the money) induction stoves, the
following article was published today in El Universo, Guayaquil,
Ecuador.

I reiterate my doubts that Ecuador's electrical system is capable of
delivering reliable power for cooking and that there may be a spike in
the demand for wood and charcoal as the subsidy for LPG is eliminated
in 2016.

I will continue to post updates as I come across them. I find it
interesting, at least from a policy standpoint and possibly as an
emerging market for efficient wood/biomass and charcoal stoves.
