Dear Stovers and Biochar enthusiasts,

I am forwarding to you the major news about the Servals Champion TLUD-ND
attaining Gold Standard registration!! I have added a few comments
into Sujatha's and Robert's messages to me (below).

Note that the second message below (from Robert of Atmosfair in Germany)
has a link where you can access substantial documentation about the
stove project.

For the advancement of TLUD gasifier stoves and for the collection of
charcoal that they can produce, the accomplishments of Servals and
Atmosfair are extremely important.

Paul

Note: Wendelbo had 5000 in Uganda in the 1990s, and BP had many more
that were with Forced Air (FA). And I do not have the latest numbers of
units by M. Nurhuda in Indonesia. But by all accounts, the
Servals/Atmosfair dissemination numbers are impressive.

Note: About the same time, Art Donnelly was doing charcoal buyback in
Costa Rica, but his stove numbers are considerable less.

Note: Even if someone wanted to challenge this statement, please note
that the Sunderbans project is conduct in the mangrove communities of
the Ganges delta! This is a MAJOR accomplishment!!!!

Note: We are excited by this reversal of the usual comment that the
field (implementation) results are lower than the lab results!!! I
request that Sujatha (Director of Servals) and her staff provide us with
some numbers (or reports) that supported this accomplishment.

Note: At this address there are several links to reports (.docx and
.pdf) that have location map and photos of stoves in the community.

Note: I (Dr TLUD) commented already about the above 3 statements. I
want to be sure that all parties get their appropriate recognition.

But I also what to emphasize that the rigorous evaluations and
monitoring of a TLUD gasifier stove project to attain the Gold Standard
registration have never been accomplished before. Servals and
Atmosfair and the communities involved in the project all deserve great
recognition. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
