[Stoves] Smoke, Fire, and Human Evolution

And one of the things I have battled to comprehend is how we managed to
evolve a filtration system that removed >99% of the particles >1,5 microns
in the air we breathe. I have scoured the evolutionary pathways without
success. Any ideas?

Interesting article in the NY Times. It says, among other interesting
things, that Homo sapiens have been controlling fire for at least 400,000
years. Viva la evolution!
