200,000 Free Solar Panels to be Distributed in Ghana


In an effort to promote off-grid energy and reduce the pressure on the
national grid, the Energy Commission of Ghana has rolled out a plan to
distribute 200,000 free solar panels to the consumers. To be eligible for a
free solar panel, the consumer will have to buy invertor and batteries,
needed for complete installation.
To assist the consumers in buying the invertor and batteries, some financial
institutions are also preparing to provide soft loans to the interested
consumers.
