Dear Friends
especially to Dr Larry, Dean of Aprovecho and Fred of InStove and the rest
of the project teams.
With gladness, i would like to share with you my latest work and my
innovations. It is an In Stove made of bricks and metal. I diligently
followed the instructions on making the InStove particularly the
measurements for the gaps for the skirt and then added my own innovations -
the brick firebox, the brick outer skirt and the chimney. And then there is
also the technique in making the metal piece, i call the COLLAR to close
the gap between the skirt and the pot.
Amazingly the smoke is effectively pulled up by the chimney including the
small gaps in the collar and firebox assembly.
The stove required 4-6 kg of dried buko (green coconut) shells to boil 48
liters of water in one hour in a very fast boil.
The stove is now in place in nice kitchen of the restaurant and ready for
full operation anytime.
Kind regards
Jed
