Efforts to promote and expand LPG access are ongoing in countries across the
globe, as one of many important solutions for clean, efficient cooking. The
World LPG Association (WLPGA) has been a leader in these efforts through
their work with the Cooking For Life campaign, among several other
initiatives.

 

Since our initial LPG webinar one year ago there have been a number of
updates and advancements in the sector. Register today

About the speakers:


Ms. Alison Abbott


Alison is the Communications Director of WLPGA.  She manages the
association's global communications strategy and is responsible for the
communications initiatives of the WLPGA for its members and stakeholders,
for the global rollout of the LPG Exceptional Energy brand. Alison also
coordinates the Women in LPG Global Network (WINLPG) which aims to retain
and support women in the industry, to lobby and promote the network, and to
educate young talent on the careers that the LPG industry can provide.


 


Mr. Michael Kelly


Michael joined WLPGA in 2006 as Director of Market Development. With
extensive international experience in environmental policy, public affairs
and communications, Michael has focused on the interface between business,
governments and civil society. He was previously policy manager for the
Environment & Energy policy portfolio at the International Chamber of
Commerce in Paris where he coordinated business delegations to UN
negotiations on environment, energy, climate change and sustainable
development. He was made WLPGA Deputy Managing Director in 2010.


 


Mr. Tim Bauer


An Envirofit co-founder, Tim is responsible for global business development
and sales activities. He has established and oversees Envirofit in-country
subsidiary companies in 5 regions, and brings extensive partnership
development and management experience to the team. Tim has spent nearly 20
years living and working overseas, connecting to the global markets and
customers Envirofit serves. He continues to focus on business and partner
relations to drive the achievement of sales and margin and EBTIDA targets. 

 

 

 

	
	

  



The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) and Winrock
International have been engaged in the household energy field for many
years, including through coordination of the Partnership for Clean Indoor
Air (PCIA) and its 590 Partners working in 117 countries from 2002-2012.
Since the integration of PCIA and the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves
in 2012, Winrock and the U.S. EPA have continued working to increase the
exchange of technical information among public and private organizations
working in the global household energy and health sectors through local
capacity building, targeted technical assistance and field studies and
global knowledge sharing. The goal of these activities is to promote
effective approaches that lead to increased use of clean, reliable,
affordable, efficient, and safe home cooking and heating practices.
