Stovers,
This free webinar will give a glimpse of the future for biomass
cookstoves in developing societies. The presenters will discuss
wood-log (cord-wood) and pellet devices for heating rooms. And they
will use "costly" (for our purposes) electronic sensors and controls.
But it will show what could be only a few years away for residential
cooking with wood pieces and maize cobs, etc.
At first it will be expensive, but prices will come down as methods and
devices improve. I think about TLUD-FA (fan assisted) stoves. A single
batch of pellets could give controlled heat for an hour (or two??) with
a complete shut-down (and/or an alarm to call attention of the user).
Technology of cookstoves will follow the patterns set by automobiles
(self-driving is here already) and computers and smart phones.
It is great to know that this work for combustion (including stoves) is
underway.
I have a time conflict that day that I hope to be able to resolve.
