This BBC video is in the Kyrgyz language which some may find difficult however the usefulness of the video is to show the conditions in which people are living and which we can do something abuot. Space heating a critical for most people living in Asia and Europe.

The large white cylindrical object is a Kontramarka, a sort of heat exchanger that reaches through the wall to heat more than one room - I have seen as many as 4 rooms being heated by one of them.

In this video the new Model 4 stove is attached to it as a chimney.

The conditions are typical of a peri-urban area. Almost 100% of the population has electricity but not everyone can afford to heat their homes with it, even though there is a generous 700 KWH provided per month at a very low price.

The core findings of this winter's research is that the stove provides 40% more heat using 40% less fuel. The increase in average room temperature is approximately 5 degrees C.
