Thanks for your inquiry but we wouldneed to know much more about what kind of briquettes you are making and what they are being made of to offer any intellignt answer.
 If your process is like ours (using mostly biomass -leaves /grasses/ straws /waste paper /sawdust … and water in a relatively low pressure hand press, then  we can help but I have the feeling that you are into something much rmore sophisticated and larger in scale. 
If that is the case, check out the stoves and biofuels network <Stoves at lists.bioenergylists.org> and pose the question to the real specialists for a good answer.
