That is a heck of a set of events. I see that two thirds of all kerosene was making its way into truck tanks. Perhaps that will stop now, unless people can access it wholesale and avoid taxes.
Why is Kenya banning charcoal again? Why don't they get on top of the supply chain management problem as Rwanda did? They are putting farmers out of business to increase imports of subsidised LPG. I thought Kenyans were smarter than that.
Something to watch for: when the price of oil jumped in the 2007-8 period, the LPG suppliers worldwide realised they were selling their product at the same margin as before, which made the energy in it relatively cheap. So they cut off all supplies to a large number of countries all at once. The price didn't matter, there was suddenly none. Everyone jumped for charcoal which went up 20% in a week.
After about five weeks, suddenly there was ample LPG everywhere but at a much higher price, in line with the oil price of energy. Amazing coincidence. Packing so much money into promoting LPG and banning a nice fuel that could be 100% locally produced is what, exactly?
Start looking for scurrying creatures with long tails.
Now that the weather cycle has moved to the new, "new normal" (it used to be perpetual drought), take advantage of the rain and grow trees in the desert. Recover the whole Sahel. You have about 30 years of favourable conditions ahead.

The Clean Cooking Alliance works with a global network of partners to build an industry that makes clean cooking accessible to families around the world, focusing on four core pillars to accelerate clean cooking access:
* Driving consumer demand for clean cookstoves and fuels by supporting behavior change and awareness raising interventions;
* Building a pipeline of investible businesses capable of answering this demand with affordable, high-quality, appropriate clean cooking products;

Since 2010, more than 115 million clean and efficient cookstoves and fuels have been distributed and sold globally by Alliance partners. Based on current sales and distribution trends and projections, the sector is on pace to exceed the Alliance’s goal of 100 million households adopting clean and efficient cookstoves and fuels by 2020.
While this is a significant achievement, the 100x2020 goal was set eight years ago as an interim target, at a time when energy access was not included as part of the Millennium Development Goals. Today, energy access has its own Sustainable Development Goal (SDG7), which includes a specific indicator on access to clean fuels and technologies for cooking. As such, the Alliance is joining with the global community to align its work with this goal, supporting achievement of universal access to clean cooking by 2030.
