[Stoves] Stoves Digest, Vol 98, Issue 12

To: Family of Dr. Tom Reed,

>From : Servals, India.

Dear Katherine, Phil, Peter and Kevin. Please accept our heartfelt
condolences on the passing of Dr. Tom Reed.

Although we have not had an opportunity to interact directly with Dr. Reed,
we are honoured to have known of his work through Dr. Paul Anderson. In
fact, we still have Dr. Reed’s cute little gasifier stove with us at our
factory – the one that was given to us by Dr. Paul Anderson in 2007 in
Hyderabad ) – as our first introduction to a fully working model of the
principles of forced draft microgasifier stoves. It still works beautifully
– with a clean flame. ..We, of course, now make natural draft gasifier
cookstoves as a better fit for the Indian environment…

…but please know that Dr. Reed’s work has touched the work we do in
gasifier stoves in India… and touched the lives of several families in
India.

Our thoughts, prayers and well-wishes are with your family, as we remember
him as one of the patriarchs in biomass cookstove world.

Kind Regards

Sujatha Mukundan
