[Stoves] FW: Abstract in EUBCE about emissions reduction in TLUDhousehold cook stoves

It is good to see such a simple, in-expensive, and society appropriate approach to improving the performance of the Awamu gasifier wood stove. Current designs of the TLUD-ND type of wood stove do have a problem with combustion dwell time.

The report states the possibility of adding turbulence in the combustor to improve mixing. This is a little late for mixing. At this point the already mixed gasses should be provided with dwell time for the combustion reactions to take place, which is the point of the new combustor design. If the mixing is not adequate, it might be better to redesign the burner to better mix the gasses at the point where the wood gas and air first meet.

Good work,

Kirk H.

Dear all,

the EUBCE is already taking place next week in Lisboa.
And here are the poster and paper that we will present, which are based on the previously submitted abstract and explanatory pages.

With kind regards
Andrés
