Christa and list

Something wrong below in last line. 1 kg biomass is approximately 18 MJ, which is exactly 5 kWh, not 1 kWh. (1.2 kg would give 5.55 kWh. Many sites on this conversion - such as https://www.convertunits.com/from/MJ/to/kwh <https://www.convertunits.com/from/MJ/to/kwh>.

	20% efficiency coming in somehow?

You find the explanation how to arrive at ‚typical meals‘ in the protocols for controlled cooking tests, like the CCT 2.0 document on https://www.cleancookingalliance.org/technology-and-fuels/testing/protocols.html <https://www.cleancookingalliance.org/technology-and-fuels/testing/protocols.html>

It may include one or more dishes, though foods requiring complicated preparations should be avoided in the interest of time. In addition to the type of food, the testers and community participants must also decide on the precise quantity of food that is best representative of a typical family’s meal. This is critical to ensure that tests are uniform."

I am only interested in the energy required to raise the temperature in the pot, and how long it needs to simmer to cook the food. Crispin, the info about endothermic effects in some foods was relevant; thank you for this.
