Dear Friends

This article may be of interest to both TLUD designers and those attempting to build High Efficiency Low Emissions (HELE) stoves. IT is a study of PAH emission reductions using different fuel sizes in a crossdraft stove to see what effect it has on the fuel efficiency and PAH production.

It is free for 50 days from today using the “coauthor” link below. After that it is paid access.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1743967119303514?dgcid=coauthor

In brief, it shows that the fuel particle size affects both the thermal efficiency and the rate of PAH formation under various conditions encountered during the test sequence. It uses a contextual test sequence based on typical behaviours in farmer’s houses in Hebei Province China.

You can save the article to disk.

It includes a description of the test apparatus which is capable of making measurements to a very low concentration.

Regards
Crispin
