Dear Mr. Crispin,

This is regarding the Kersee wick stove. There are several published
papers/reports available on comparison of kerosene wick stove performance
with LPG cookstoves. I have compiled some of the published results to have
an idea about the performance of the kerosene wick stoves. I also
included some useful references for more details.

Performance comparison of LPG and Kerosene stove.

Type of cookstove

CO (mg/m3)

Particulate matters

Power level (kW)

Kerosene

Also, after switching off the cookstoves, the CO level remains above
safety limit for 40 minutes in case of kerosene stoves and 10 minutes in
case of LPG stove.
