There are many TLUDs on the market and the Fabstove is one. As Paul points out the the FAB stand for:

Fan Assisted Biomass and
Forced Air Base

This feature improves combustion, allows the user to control the flame intensity and importantly reduces lighting time (and the normal smoking that happens with a natural draft TLUD).

It also helps lighting dense fuels like pellets, coconut shells etc, which was demonstrated well in the video.

Thanks to Pauls guidance, this is the only FA-TLUD that has a removable, replaceable gasifier with no moving parts in it. This means we can use multiple different fire chambers with the same frame. This provides flexibility for:

Fuels with different densities and calorific values
Different diameter fire chambers for smaller and larger heating capacity

Lastly, we can adapt the stove frames for different uses. Attached is a frame being developed for urban shacks in large African cities. A world first! A double floor standing FA-TLUD stove with storage for pots and pans
