Dear Jean Kim,

I'd like to query along the lines AJH did. Please give us some more
definition. What size community? A bit about the location more than
not much wood and plenty of agri-waste would be helpful. I think the
question for a helpful answer is quite probably somewhat more
complicated than you've asked. Is this the Africa on our planet (and
cost isn't an issue)?
Question: a community in Africa, where woodfuel is in short
supply, is considering starting a briquette program. (The area
does have access to ag waste for briquette-making.) If cost is not
an issue, should the community invest in briquette making
technology or try distributing high efficiency cookstoves? Or
both?
Thanks in advance.
