The material and manufacturing method is really how Unity Stove can help the many stove programs that are currently been implemented to assist the worlds poorest people. I am an Industrial designer and I looked at the whole issue of how could I help these programmes. I had already developed the basis of Ksial and proven its fire resistance as a material to protect hard drives from fire. What keeps fire out works well to keep fire in and so Ksial was born.</div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Richard, the ability to create varying density in one moulding is what really improves the performance of a Ksial stove. It is inspired by some of the strongest lightest natural structures, bones with a hard outer surface and a cellular structure.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Now, whilst Unity Stove has developed this material to a point where it can be trialled and demonstrated, there is still a long way to go commercialisation and implementation. The interest generated on this board and mailing list has and will help that development.</div>

<span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">The smart thing is that you Bob HAstings seem to be integrating a c of low denisty non structural but highly insulative material with a shell of harder more structural material which is either cast into the insulative shell by use of secondary exterior mold or perhaps you just paint the harder slurry material on to the surface of the insulative core material. Kobus Venter and Rok Oblak and probably a hundred others have experimented with the same thing in years past but you have managed to nail it down: Clever stuff and all the best to you?</span><br style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">
