Then add a stack can to show the difference. It is quite easy to make a single can stove with a rock and a nail.</div><div><br></div><div>I also start beginners with much surplus primary air to insure success. No failures for the first time you make a small TLUD. Then I start to introduce the idea of approaching limits to get down to an amount of primary air that will sustain pyrolysis, especially in the early phases when it is just getting established. Primary air will effect quantity and quality of charcoal harvested, amount of ash, quality of stack gas etc.</div><div><br></div><div>The idea in the current PDF is to show that you can go from a single can to a more advanced set of solutions. especially for safety when working with a group of children. The stove has
some inovative thinking in it but perhaps the inovations add more
complixity then is needed to communicate the basic wood gas principles to
children. Dr. Paul Andersons granddaughter had a wonderful little stove at
stove camp that was simpler and may more clearly communicate the
principles. </font><font size="2" face="Arial"> It worked well with many
different fuels and achieved excelent numbers when tested. Perhaps she
would be willing to share her design with us. Once the children understand
the basic principles then they can learn from your stove how to inovate new
designs.</font></div>
