About your stated interest, please clarify for us the
size/scope/power-level/etc of what you hope to accomplish. Power
generation could be measured in a few watts for charging phone (such
as using TEG technology and a cookstove) or making killowatts of
electricity with devices that are much larger than residential
cookstove sizes. How much interest do you have in the TEG
approach?<br>
<br>
Of special interest to the readers of this message are the efforts
that combine with cooking and especially with "char-making" stoves
and devices.<br>

part of the above project, we produced and characterised
biochar from cooking stoves and scaled up the stove design
for large scale biochar production. Our upscaled design was
used to produce about 600Kg of biochar which was applied on
Malaysian acidic soils to enhance biochar-soil functions.
The above project was the basis for my first Ph.D (Chemical
engineering).</div>

finally, my most recent encounter has been working on a
project in the UK which is part of an international
consortium project which aims to develop hybrid bioenergy
system for rural applications. As part of this project, we
tested the usage of a 10KWe power pallet (manufactured by
allpower labs) to produce electricity alongside biochar and
the project is nearly concluded forming the basis for my
second Ph.D (Chemical engineering)</div>

brief, I have had the chance to work on biochar and cooking
stoves with experience in Africa, Asia and Europe. My next
interest would be to look at using cooking stoves for power
generation and biochar alongside cooking - I am keen to
take the findings beyond laboratory trials but to
practically use them for tailor made designs especially for
the developing World.</div>
