Please note the standardisation of the air controller. The current Model 4 version turns out to be cheap, easy to make and long lasting with a high degree of control. <span style='font-family:"helvetica neue",serif;color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-CA'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Model 1 – Dung and Wood; turn the grate around, it burns coal – light it from the chimney end to make an end-lit crossdraft fire (ELCD).<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Model 4 is a coal stove for anything smaller than 30mm including duff coal. Altanzul at CAU tried to burn 40mm in it last week and it has too much excess air for my liking. It is a problem of too small a surface to volume ratio. She also reports she made three burns with different sizes of fuel. No details yet.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>There is a smallish (23 MB) video of the Model 1 burning dung at high power with a Model 4 just beside it.
