not a type of Rocket Stove. It
has no insulated draft tube, but an extensive supply of
primary and secondary
air to the grate, which is integrated in a long ash pan,
protruding the stove
shell. The pot/pan is supported by a free-standing tripod,
which supports the
stove shell to give free access of air to the burning wood at
the grate. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt"><span
style="mso-ansi-language:EN-US" lang="EN-US">Zinc coated steel
(melting point of zinc is 420
°C) is not changed. In literature the recommended use of mild
steel with flue
gases from burnt wood is limited to about 550 °C, but for a
long life time of the
stove, a lower temperature of course is advantageous.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Correct any misconception that the Ben stove is essentially a
Rocket stove, which certainly has temperature above 400 C at some
of its components, so many rockets have ceramic pieces.<br>
