you plan to stay multiple nights, camping is encouraged--please bring
your own tents. For some who are interested in attending, but not able
to camp, find a hotel, or otherwise require special accommodation,
please contact us and let us know. If you know someone who is

this year. Space is limited.* </b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>2) Presenting</b></div><div>If you are interested in presenting, there are a limited
number of spaces available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The purpose of HEARTH is to leverage more resources (especially financial support) for our work, bring new talent into the sector, and help integrate the work that stovers and other Community-based Development practitioners have done into the broader humanitarian and international development context. <br></div><div><br></div><div><b>3) Volunteering </b><br></div><div>If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me directly with the subject line, "HEARTH--Volunteer"</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>We will be adding several new features this year: the Funder's panel will be on <b>Thursday</b>,
August 17th, and the afternoon will feature a "Speed Meets with the
Funders" workshop, which will allow nonprofit professionals to connect
with foundations and learn whether their programs and strategies are
aligned. We will also have capacity-building sessions on how to work
with Rotary International, presentations by Oregon impact inventors with
humanitarian technologies, a workshop on how to build rocket stoves,
and of course, the latest lessons learned from the field in Household
and Renewable Energy Technologies, from implementing to monitoring. <b>Friday</b>
will focus on building effective partnerships and how to design
projects and attract the partners who can help take ideas to scale. <b>Saturday </b>focuses
on the role of cookstoves and other specific household and renewable
energy technologies, and models for integrating them into development
projects, at both the local level, and a policy level. <b>Sunday </b>features
workshops, presentations, and technology demonstrations by Pacific
Northwest nonprofits, impact inventors and social entrepreneurs.
Additional breakouts will focus on the domestic role of renewable energy
