It is suspended in a pot of water, or placed on a cast iron frying pan and the temperature profile recorded and compared to what is required to complete a real task. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">3) The biomass fuel used goes through a package of tests. If shown to not be important it could be the test should be omitted or the method used to analyze the property needs be modified. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">4) The fuel and task are important. But side tests like PM2.5, stability and safety can be added. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">5) The above tests are done at reasonable cost so any backyard tinsmith with a new idea can have their stove tested and compared to other stoves.</div><div class=""> </div><div class="">6) A group of stoves deemed to be suitable for a receiving site based on lab tests is determined. NOT the time to purchase 100,000 of them for distribution.
