I introduce you to Ih Cheng of China. He has some interesting TLUD
research / experiments that you can read about below. Read about
the impact of oatmeal!!!! And does it realate to the more blue
flames from rice husk gasifiers? It will be better for him and
everyone if he can interact with many Stovers. <br>

I hope that some of you will replicate his work and report to
everyone. Do not wait for someone else to do it.<span class="m_2192412409827110826m_-2872966435048820218HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><br>

sorry for the late response, I have some trouble to
break through GFW<br>
to access gmail sometimes.<br>

I am a Chinese, lived in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu
province, east part of<br>
China. I just found the wood stick on the hill is so
plenty so I try<br>
to build a stove to burn it. I tried rocket stove
and your fantastic<br>
Champion stove, which is best of all.<br>
<br>
As for the oat, just a little(crashed pieces, with
hot water, it can<br>
be eaten immediately), maybe 10g? a lot of details I
wanted to<br>
describe to you yesterday. but I don't want to
bother you with such<br>
details. since you want to know, I am glad to
explain now. when I<br>
loaded the fuel, I added a layer of dry oat on top
of it, then I start<br>
to lit the fuel with some easy-lit materials, very
hard to lit them. a<br>
lot smoke, and I blow and blow, finally succeeded.
then that blue<br>
flame came out. and it burns for a very long time,
twice longer maybe<br>
than ordinary case. very steady, and I did not have
to limit the<br>
primary air all the time as I normally did.<br>
<br>
this morning I did some experiments on my TLUD
stove, I just covered<br>
the fuel with a plate while the flame got strong
enough. there was<br>
some insignificant effect. not obvious. I will try a
bigger plate next<br>
time.<br>
<br>
I am so glad to receive this email from you so fast.<br>

best regards<br>

the Fyro stove. Thanks for that!!<br>

Location, etc. and plans.<br>

Please tell me more about the layer of dry oat.
At the top, as a<br>

just oat chaff/hulls?<br>
Will you be trying again? And with more?<br>

Dear Dr Anderson:<br>
I have made a TLUD-ND stove after your Champion
stove, it works very<br>
well that I abandoned all the rocket stoves I
previously made.<br>
I write to you because I will report to you some
discoveries I've got<br>
today, maybe very important.<br>
<br>
This morning I add a layer of dry oat( just
for fun ) on the fuel.<br>
then something wonderful happened. the flame
became small, blue and<br>
stable. this kind of effect is very hard to
achieve in ordinary case.<br>
this kind of flame is very hot, stable and
clean. I know the project<br>
in india about your champion stove through
DrTLUD website, Champion<br>
stove is rejected by more wealthy family because
it blackened the<br>
pot's bottom somehow. Another defect of the
TLUD-ND stove is that, it<br>
is pretty hard to turn down the fire-power, when
the flame is already<br>
strong. A solution for these two problems is
limitting the primary air<br>
from above, not from under.<br>
When I found the perfect flame this morning, I
remembered a video (<br>
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1maX3o4174k" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?<wbr>v=1maX3o4174k</a>
), posted by Dieter Weber.<br>
he invented a Side-Lit-Up-Draft stove,
limmitting primary air from<br>
above, he explained the mechanism and the effect
of his stove in the<br>
video.<br>
that's all.<br>
<br>
and, I am a Christian, I truly hope you are a
christian already, so<br>
that the Lord will reward you for your good work
not only in this<br>
world, but also in heaven.<br>
<br>
God bless you.<br>
<br>
your truly<br>
Cheng<br>
