<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Unfortunately the WBT does not do this. The ‘deduction’ is of an indeterminate fraction of the energy in the char produced: either included with the ash (an over-estimate
 as per WBT3.1) or an underestimate in the case of the tester recovering some portion of the total char and deducting the energy contained in it, either by estimation or measurement.
