<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">To answer your other questions anecdotally, I was in Kitui the other day on buisness and I stopped in for lunch at the Lakeside Butchery and happened to take these photos - as shown below the co-proprietor of this well
 named joint had a few 3 stone fires in a somewhat well ventilated outdoor kitchen - she also had a KCJ jiko that she only used for only chapatis and sometimes tea - they cook better on charcoal she said and a kerosene stove inside for morning tea. She was
 boiling a goats head and some tripes and various medicinal bark/twigs in the pot in the foreground for some ok tasting soup, I think it had cooked too long though, but then again her 14 year oldish daughter was manning that pot to be fair. She said she gets
 the wood from her and her families farm, the charcoal she buys for 0.50c a kilo or tin every other day- this particular area was not much of a commercial charcoal making place it seemed, most of the land was privately owned, demarcated and farmed. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
