Paul, I don't know the answer to your question, but I once hauled some grape <br>juice in my work truck for friends who were making wine. It was a one-way trip, as the<br>truck was empty on the way home from a job about 400 miles away.<br><br>I calculated that each litre of wine would have 80ml of diesel embodied in it from<br>the transport of the juice.<br><br>The calculation was pretty simple, as I knew the mpg of the truck and the distance.<br><br>Norbert<br><br>Message: 1<br>

I hope that someone can provide an answer to this question:<br>

The situation:? A fuel for cooking needs to be transported to<br>
communities in somewhat remote locations. ? There are roads that at<br>
least allow a pickup truck to go in and out year-round.? The people have<br>
access to locally sources woody biomass fuel, but are interested in<br>
having some better stoves with processed fuels. ? In particular, they<br>
are considering LPG in standard bottles/tanks that are brought in full,<br>
and empties are taken back. ??
