<p class="MsoNormal">There is a new technological breakthrough for Thermoelectric Generators (TEGs) which should hit the market in a few years. It gives a dramatic improvement in conversion efficiency (heat to electricity). According to disparate sources,
the efficiency might be in the range of 35% and the cost is slashed. We can talk of $100 per KW for the modules.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The laws in Ontario have been updated with advice from the CSA technical committee rewriting B415.1 – the standard for space heating appliances that burn wood. There is even a new method for assessing the emissions of site-built masonry
heaters in B415.1. The general idea is to promote wood fuel over diesel in remote communities.

<p class="MsoNormal">As new TEGs become available, it is a very attractive option and smaller and smaller scale.<u></u><u></u></p>
