[Gasification] DIY GtL

Dear Kevin,
currently the tar is used by villagers to smear wooden poles and tree trunks
to protect them from termites. But huge quantities are also used in road
construction. I think that the tar that is available in the market is a
product of petroleum refining. Nobody in India uses any process aimed at
retreiving tar from either the process of gasification or from charcoal
making. When we started our experiments with distillation of agricultural
waste, we found, that we were getting a lot of tar as a condensate. It was
then that I started making inquiries about the possible use of the tar and
discovered that there was a market for it. I don't even know if the tar
obtained through our process would be useful in termite control or road
construction. .
