Dear all,
Greetings in the New Year.
During the second World War a lot of cars and buses in Norway was running on gasifier units, like you are mentioning.
They were considered to be running on woodchips, also called "Knott" in our local language, related to the biomass they were using to make the woodgas.
The gas was produced by the gasifier out of woodchips, locally made out of prefered tree spieces.

I dont find that so strange, just keep me thinking about some of the the disquession on this list, mainly focusing on the stoves and energy units.
We should also focus on the fuel or biomass, processed or unprocessed, as well, namely woodchips, pellets, briquettes etc.
No proper fuel or biomass, no proper gasification, I belive.

On the other hand, cars are normaly named, Automobile", not petrol-cars or diesel-cars, after the fuel they are using, anyway.

Otto
