Dear Stovers and Gasification enthusiasts:
Several valuable books are now available under the Biomass Energy
Foundation section of the Resources page of the Dr TLUD website. (
Note that the 1974 Pegasus book title was changed in 2006 to “Driving on
Wood: The Lost Art of Driving Without Gasoline.”
For your convenience, here are the links to the resource access pages
for each book:
Note: You will probably want to right-click and save the PDF file for
the larger book (Driving On Wood). When you save it directly to your
hard drive, you can view it with Adobe Reader.
One more quick note: Some of the BEF PDF files were set up for book

for Vehicles. We have not edited the print-shop PDF copies beyond
rotating the upside-down pages and adding a note on the bottom of the
[Note: James S. Schoner is the (underpaid and mostly volunteer)
website administrator of www.drtlud.com He is gradually placing
there as "free-to-download" digital files all of the books previously
sold by the Biomass Energy Foundation. James is not subscribed to the
Gasification and Stoves listservs, so any correspondence (or offers of
assistance) should be sent directly to him at James S. Schoner

1. Thank you to James Schoner for his kind assistance to make these
many documents available.
2. Thank you to Thomas Reed, Kathy Nafie, and the Biomass Energy
Foundation for the provision of the publications.
3. Thank you to all of the original authors of the books that are so
valuable for the advancement of gasification and related fields.
