..hum, stainless steel piping on a gasifier with a 5 year warranty 
can turn out quite nasty if he doesn't line his hot gas piping,
stainless steels needs the precence of oxygen gas to remain stainless
steels, without oxygen gas, the surface oxide layer is eaten away by 
the dust, at e.g. 1050oC ~ 1922F we're talking minutes, not years.
