[Greenbuilding] Wood by the pound.

In the 80s our 1800 sf house in Vermont (9000 HDD) burned 8 cord.
Insulation was not spectacular.
When their teenage laborer moved out, the occupants resumed fossil fuel use, though they continue to offset/augment with about 2 cord wood/year.
