Ron,
This conversation is moot since we are trying to predict the future.
So it's anyone's opinion.
I really don't care if the human race lives in space. But to say it
isn't going to happen in my opinion puts you in the long line of
people who said planes wouldn't fly, CD's wouldn't work, and
telephones wouldn't last.
You comment reminds me of when the steam engine was first used in a
train. There were doctors who seriously worried that the human body
would rattle apart at such high speeds. We just weren't built for
those speeds.

My main point here is that the human race and life in general is WAY
to complex for us to simply dismiss a possibility as cooky. And the
fact that we regularly go into space, that the human culture openly
accepts space travel as normal, and that people are investing
trillions into it makes me think it is going to happen. But go ahead,
call us kooky. You won't be the first to call me that. My success in
life is actually very much founded on doing what others think is kooky
until the rest of the world realizes it's not that kooky after all. By
that time I'm the ticket seller both financially and authoritatively.
Since I'm driven by idealism it is always a nice feeling at the end of
the day.
