[Greenbuilding] sprouting earthen floor

The sprouting earthen floor is quite simply seeds, likely from a straw
additive to the earthen floor mix, that now finds itself with adequate
moisture to do what it is naturally programmed to do: grow. If there is no
additional moisture allowed to enter the floor (ie, if it is separated
adequately from ground moisture), then the clay will ultimately dry out, the
sprouting grass will die, and the roots it formed will actually leave behind
an additional fiber network that strengthens the floor.

Hope this is helpful.
